Lose Stomach Fat Via Dieting

By far, the most important step to shedding those extra fat pounds on the stomach is a persons diet.

Whether you are 14 or 114, your diet plays a major role in the way your body will both look and feel.

The idea is to eat a low calorie, low fat diet to keep your body fat percentage down as low as it can go.

In my personal opinion, it is more important to stick with the lower calorie plan than the low fat plan.

Both are important but if you must stick with one of the two, go with low calories. Stomach fat is not different then any other fat on your body. It will burn off if you burn more calories then you take in.

Depending on genetics though, you may lose fat in other areas before your stomach. This part is out of your control. It is also important to stick to food with a low Glycemic index value.

Exercise is the second most important fat busting action you can take to dieting. What excercise does is burn calories which will make your body go into its reserves, fat, to use as fuel. This means stomach fat!

Like dieting, it will depend on your genetics as to what areas lose the fat first, however most people will show signs of stomach fat loss within just a week of moderate exercise.

What types of exercise is best for the destruction of that nasty fat? Cardio or Weight Training? I would recommend a mixture of both cardio, and fast paced weight training.

Remember the more muscle you have on your body, the faster your metabolism will work.
